Up, up and away this winter for people who want to spend time in Muskoka without having to worry about the hassles of traffic or snow-clogged roads.
FLYGTA is offering weekend flights between Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto and Muskoka Airport in Gravenhurst. Flights depart on Fridays and Sundays from Billy Bishop to Muskoka. New departures will also be offered from Niagara and Buttonville.
“The Muskoka Airport is excited to see FLYGTA expand from their summer flight schedule to year-round service to Muskoka,” said Len O’Connor, Muskoka Airport CEO. “This new schedule offering quick access to Muskoka is great for everyone and reinforces Muskoka as a year-round destination.”
FLYGTA has partnered with Muskoka Tourism to lure winter enthusiasts north.
“FLYGTA’s expanded air taxi service and partnership with Muskoka Tourism will bring more travellers to Muskoka to enjoy all the wonderful amenities and winter activities our region has to offer,” remarked District Chair John Klinck. “We are so pleased to see continued expansion of scheduled services at the Muskoka Airport and look forward to working with FLYGTA to provide excellent experiences for both commuters and visitors to the District.”
The small airline began summer weekend service to Muskoka in 2018.
