Ford Government Test 110 km/h Speed Limit on Select Highways

A Northern Ontario highway will be added later this year

Ontario is raising maximum speed limits to 110 km/h on three highways – HWY 402 London to Sarnia, QEW, Hamilton to St. Catharines, and Highway 417, Ottawa to the Ontario-Quebec border.

The Ford Government made the announcement Friday. Transportation Minister Jeff Yurek introduced the two-year pilot program. Yurek did mention that a stretch of highway in Northern Ontario (yet to be identified) will also be part of the program this Fall.
