Front Street Construction Altering Orillia Transit Route
South Route Taking a Detour Around Reconstruction
Head’s up if Orillia Transit is your means of getting around: construction along Front Street will impact the South Route.
The first phase of the Front Street Reconstruction project gets underway as of Tuesday, and will require a detour of the route until October. There will be no bus service along Front St. from Colborne to Gill Streets for the duration of the construction.
The project is a $6.5 million effort to improve some deteriorating conditions and improve upon others. The second phase of construction, from Colborne to Laclie, is expected to begin next year.
