Funds for Barrie and Orillia hospitals being raised at local McDonald’s restaurants

$5 donation goes to the Healthcare Heroes Program at RVH and Soldiers Memorial

McDonald’s restaurants in Barrie and Orillia are raising funds to help their local hospitals; The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) and Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital.

For a $5 donation to the “Healthcare Heroes” program you get any sized coffee or tea, and a bumper sticker stating “We support our Healthcare Heroes.”

Lisa Wanamaker of the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation said the timing of this campaign couldn’t be better. “To have their support during this pandemic helps us ensure our healthcare teams have the tools they need to provide the best possible care to our patients when they need it most.”

In Barrie, if you can’t get out to a restaurant, you’re invited to make a $5 donation online at HealthcareHeroesRVH.ca

The program will run for four weeks.
