Filling up the gas tank will be less painful on Thursday, as the price is expected to drop 12 cents across most of Ontario, according to Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy.
In a tweet on Wednesday, McTeague predicted the price of gas will fall to 179.9 per litre in Barrie, the GTA, Hamilton, Toronto, London and Kitchener.
The average price has not been that low since April
Gas prices rose five cents on Wednesday.
On July 1, the pump price fell 11 cents, the same day the Ford government implemented a cut of the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre.
