Gathering at a Gravenhurst cottage results in charges by the OPP

Eight people from the GTA were ticketed

Cottage life in Muskoka was interrupted by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Acting on a complaint from a member of the public about a gathering at a cottage in Gravenhurst on Saturday night, police arrived and found eight individuals from the Greater Toronto Area at the residence.

The current restrictions relating to the stay-at-home order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA) prohibit any gatherings.

Officers charged them accordingly.

A fine for a contravention under the EMCPA is $750.00
