This bodes well for students of Georgian College: Looks like students have a higher chance of finding a job after graduation and overall happy with the college experience.
According to a survey released by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Georgian has the third-highest graduate employment rate of all 24 Ontario colleges, sitting at 89.7 per cent. That’s 3.5 percent higher than the provincial average.
6,200 employers partner with Georgian to offer student work experiences, including co-op, internship, placement and field experience.
Graduate satisfaction also tracks above the provincial average at 80.9 per cent and overall student satisfaction is at 75.8 per cent.
“I’m especially pleased to see that we have maintained our standing as a leading Ontario college for graduate employment,” said Georgian College President and CEO MaryLynn West-Moynes. “Our faculty, staff and employer partners work together with a singular goal to connect students to the skills and work experience they need to succeed – both in the job after they graduate and as they progress in their careers, whether they choose to work for an employer or for themselves.”
