On July 25 and July 26, planned construction is taking place on the Barrie line.
There will be no GO train service between Allandale Waterfront GO and Union Station.
GO buses will make all stops between Allandale Waterfront and Rutherford GO, then run direct between Rutherford GO and Highway 407 Bus Terminal
TTC Line 1 connections are available from Hwy 407 Terminal.
There will be no GO Transit service at Downsview Park GO.
If you’re travelling to Downsview Park GO:
- From Union Station, take TTC Line 1 north (35 minutes).
- From Highway 407 Bus Terminal; take TTC Line 1 south (13 minutes).
If you’re travelling to Union Station:
- From Highway 407 Bus Terminal; take TTC Line 1 south (47 minutes).
- From Downsview Park GO; take TTC Line 1 south (35 minutes).
If you’re travelling to Highway 407 Bus Terminal:
- From Union Station (47 minutes) or Downsview Park GO (13 minutes); take TTC Line 1 north.
GO bus service northbound toward Allandale Waterfront GO:
- 68F: Highway 407 Bus Terminal, direct to Barrie South GO and ending at Allandale Waterfront GO.
- 68G: Highway 407 Bus Terminal, direct to Rutherford GO and all stops to Allandale Waterfront GO.
- 65H: Highway 407 Bus Terminal direct to Aurora GO.
- 65G: Highway 407 Bus Terminal to Rutherford, Maple, King City, Aurora GO.
- 65J: Highway 407 Bus Terminal to Rutherford, Maple, King City, Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury GO.
- 68H: Highway 407 Bus Terminal direct to Aurora, and stops at Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, and Bradford GO.
Please note that northbound Route 65 trips connecting to Route 68 trips at Aurora GO will have a connection time of 7 to 12 minutes.
GO bus service southbound toward Rutherford GO/Hwy 407 Bus Terminal:
- 68F: Allandale Waterfront GO, direct to Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- 68G: Allandale Waterfront GO, all stops to Rutherford GO and direct to Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- 65H: Aurora GO direct to Highway 407 Bus Terminal
- 65G: Aurora, King City, Maple, Rutherford GO, and direct to Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- 65J: East Gwillimbury GO all stops to Rutherford GO, and direct to Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
Please note that connection times from southbound route 68 trips to routes 65H and 65G at Aurora GO will be 15 to 20 minutes.
The frequency of replacement buses this weekend is aligned with regularly scheduled weekend train service. You may need to wait longer than usual to make your connections.
Barrie line train service resumes Monday, July 27 with some trips and schedules adjusted.
Monday, July 27:
- All northbound and southbound train trips will depart up to one or seven minutes earlier or later than regularly scheduled.
- The 10:57 train from Aurora will now begin at Maple GO at 11:06. GO bus service will be available from Aurora GO, stopping at King City and Maple GO.
- The 15:04 train from Aurora will now begin at Maple GO at 15:21. GO bus service will be available from Aurora GO, stopping at King City and Maple GO.
ROUTE 68
NORTHBOUND
- Trips will have connection times between seven and 16 minutes (up to one minute less or eight minutes more than usual).
SOUTHBOUND
- Trips will have connection times between 12 to 18 minutes (between three minutes less and four minutes more than usual).
Connecting to another line? There is also planned construction on the Kitchener line, Lakeshore West and UP Express on July 25-26.

From Saturday August 15 to Wednesday August 19, planned construction is taking place on the Barrie line which will significantly impact your weekend and weekday travel.
WHAT TYPE OF WORK IS HAPPENING?
During the closure, crews are conducting foundational work for a second track and line improvements, including installing culverts, utilities, and signaling works. As part of GO Expansion, crews are also carrying out work at Aurora GO Station, the future Bloor-Lansdowne GO Station and completing essential maintenance on the Barrie line.
