A hiccup to your Thanksgiving travel plans if you were going to take the GO train on the Barrie line.

From Saturday, Oct. 12 through Monday, Oct. 14, Metrolinx says train service between Maple GO and Allandale Waterfront GO stations will be temporarily suspended.

"Metrolinx is installing and maintaining flood relief culverts in the area. Construction work will also take place for the Maple GO station renovation and Barrie track expansion," the agency said in a news release on Friday. "This work can only be done when service is modified."

Regularly scheduled trips will continue to operate on the Barrie line between Union Station and Maple GO.

For customers travelling beyond Maple GO, replacement GO buses will run to the Barrie Bus Terminal (Routes 65M, 68K, 68L, 65G). Buses are also available for customers travelling southbound to Union Station from stations beyond Maple GO.

Additional GO bus trips will also be available between Highway 407 terminal and Aurora GO.
