Golfers raise over $350 thousand for Georgian Bay General Hospital

First ever Captain’s Invitational Golf Tournament held in Midland

A one-night golfing event has raised more than $354,000 for Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH).

Fifty-six golfers gathered at the Midland Golf & Country Club for the first-ever Captain’s Invitational Golf Tournament Presented by Toronto-based Urbacon, and hosted by Glen Howard.

The annual Glenn Howard Charity Golf Classic, like many other events, had to be cancelled this year, and was replaced by the smaller executive tournament, raising well over their $110,000 goal.

The funds raised will go to completing the surgical expansion project at GBGH, with additional funds going to help address the hospital’s investment in COVID-19 pandemic preparedness.
