Saying “yes” to Encore paid off for Florence Stewart of Collingwood. She matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the August 26, 2023 ONTARIO 49 draw to win $100,000.
Florence, a retiree, said she’s been a regular lottery player for decades.
“My favourite games are Ontario 49 and Daily Keno. I always say yes to Encore,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
The great-grandmother was at the store using the ticket checker when she discovered her windfall.
“I didn’t believe it. I had to give it to the store clerk to double check. When she confirmed it, she gave me a big hug,” she said. “I feel great – it’s really amazing!”
Florence will pay bills with her winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Loblaws on Hurontario Street in Collingwood.
