Eight-Storey Development Proposed Overlooking Bunker's Creek

A Barrie mid-rise proposed to abut city green space has been given the okay by council.

At its regular Monday night meeting, City Council voted to approve some density zoning changes that allow for the construction of the eight-storey complex containing 93 units, a few beds shy of the 96 units the developer was asking for.

The apartment building would be constructed on Dunlop near Boys Street, with dedicated ground floor space for commercial use.

Bunker’s Creek Lands Adjacent to Land Wouldn’t Be Touched

Nearby Milligan’s Pond and Bunker’s Creek are zoned as environmentally protected, and that wouldn’t change with the construction of this project.
