A hail of a storm in Wasaga Beach

Thunderstorms accompanied by hail fired up over Georgian Bay and moved inland on Monday morning.

Pictures from Wasaga Beach showed heavy amounts of hail, and there was also a waterspout.

There was so much hail on the waterfront at Wasaga Beach it looked like it had snowed.

There were no weather watches or warnings issued for the region, but Environment Canada did post a rainfall warning for northern Grey County, Owen Sound and Blue Mountains. The weather office said slow moving showers and thunderstorms could drop in excess of 50 mm of rain during the morning.
