There will be an early start to curbside waste collection Tuesday and Wednesday in Barrie.
The city says residents will need to have their waste curbside by 5 a.m. due to the heat and humidity.
There was also an early collection time on Monday.
"To help collection crews stay safe in the summer heat, when Environment Canada projects a daily air temperature or humidex of 30°C or higher, waste collection could commence at 5 a.m.," according to the City of Barrie website.
The city says this allows crews to get a head start on the day and take more breaks to stay safe in the heat.
" On early collection days, your curbside materials may be collected any time up until 7 p.m.," according to the city.
