The Ontario Arts Council (an Ontario Government Agency) wants to help artists across the province fund their commissioned or personal passion projects by supplying grants to creators at all career stages and from all music genres.
From electronic music to operatic composition, this grant can be used for a myriad of different things, including artists fees, space and equipment rentals (for creation purposes), and the purchase of small scale equipment, software, or electronics.
If you are a resident of Ontario and at least 18 years old, there are only a few stipulations such as timing (project cannot start or end before the deadline), location (project cannot take place outside of Ontario), and a few others that you should know about.
The deadline for the two grants, self-directed (up to $4000) and commissioned (up to $20,000) is September 15th, so be sure to head over to the website and get all the information.
