News release - City of Orillia
The Ministry of Transportation has advised that starting at 8 p.m. on August 12, 2023, until 8 a.m. on August 13, 2023, the following section of Highway 11 Northbound and Southbound will be closed as outlined below:
- Highway 11 Southbound – Between Carlyon Line/Sundial and Burnside Line/West Street will be closed from 8 p.m. on August 12, 2023, until 8 a.m. on August 13, 2023
- Highway 11 Northbound – Between Burnside Line/West St and Carlyon Line/Sundial will be closed from 8 p.m. on August 12, 2023, until 8 a.m. on August 13, 2023
During this time, detours will be in place as follows:
- Highway 11 Southbound Traffic will follow D-5 Detour and exit at Carlyon Drive to Brodie Drive, then travel on the new W-S ramp from Burnside Line to continue travelling on Highway 11 South
- Highway 11 Northbound Traffic will follow D-5 Detour and exit via the S-EW ramp to West Street, then travel on Commerce Road to Sundial Drive on-ramp exit to continue travelling on Highway 11 North
