Honour our fallen online with live streaming of repatriation ceremony for six Canadian armed forces members

Canadians asked to avoid gathering at Highway of Heroes overpasses

The six Canadian Armed Forces personnel killed in last week’s helicopter crash off the coast of Greece will be honoured at a repatriation ceremony today.

The ceremony will be streamed live from CFB Trenton starting around 2:30 p.m. ET and can be viewed here. This will be followed by the traditional procession along the Highway of Heroes to a Toronto coroners’ office. Typically, Canadians gather on overpasses along the 401 to show respect to our honoured dead. Officials are encouraging everyone instead to follow the procession online, with the Twitter hashtag #HighwayofHeroes.
