Hooded Bandit Sought Following Unlucky Hold Up

Cedar Point Shop Victim of Armed Robbery

Barrie Police need help putting the cuffs on whoever was behind the robbery of Lucky Convenience.

The clerk at the Cedar Point Plaza convenience store likely wasn’t feeling too lucky around 6:30 Monday evening, when a suspect allegedly came in and displayed a weapon. A demand for cash was made, while Barrie Police say the hooded suspect fled on foot.

The hood covered much of the suspect’s face, but police were able to provide a description and some images nonetheless.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male black, approximately 20-24 years of age, between 5’9″ to six feet tall, medium build wearing a black (upper portion) and camo (lower portion) hoody, black pants, grey shoes, black gloves with a Nike emblem on the outside portion of the glove (closest to the pinky finger), possible Nike therma touch screen gloves.
  • The hoody was up over the males head and the draw strings were pulled tight to conceal his hair and obscure most of his face.  He was also wearing sun glasses and a dark mask like cloth covering the lower portion of his face.

The Barrie Police Service is asking anyone with information on this robbery to contact Barrie Police Investigative Services at 705-725-7025, ext. 2561, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or leave an anonymous tip online at www.p3tips.com.
