Horse racing gets back on the saddle at Georgian Downs

Spectators will not be permitted

If you like to bet on the horses, you are off to the races.

Live horsing race in the province has been given the go-ahead to start this weekend.

Standardbred live racing at Georgian Downs returns on Saturday, June 6. The first race post time on Tuesdays and Saturdays is set for 7:15 p.m. Sunday will go at 6 p.m.

Spectators will not be permitted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans of the sport can watch live racing by streaming at Georgian Downs – Live Video and downloading free programs at Georgian Downs – Programs.

Strict physical distancing rules are in place at the racetrack to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Access to the racetrack will be limited to essential personnel only. All participants must wear face masks at all times when in the backstretch and paddock areas. Any person found on the track premises not wearing a face mask will be ejected from the track.
