You’d need to be earning about eighty-six grand a year to afford a home in Barrie’s priciest neighbourhood.

The real estate website Zoocasa.com has run the numbers and has pinned down the average price of a home per neighbourhood within Barrie, and the average household income required to buy it.

In Allandale for example, you’d need a take home of about $71,000/year to buy a $502,000 home. The downtown core is a little more affordable, with a 56 thousand-a-year salary needed to buy homes at 393 grand. Over in Innishore however, you’d need to be raking in $86,000 a year to buy an average $604,000 dollar home.
