A candlelight vigil will be held tonight for the family impacted by Saturday's house explosion on Marshall Street in Barrie. It's at 7 o'clock at the corner of Marshall and Libra Road.
Police have confirmed this morning that the owner of the home, who was critically hurt in the blast,
has succumbed to his injuries. He leaves a wife and two children, for which a GoFundMe page has been established to help them get re-established.
The Office of the Fire Marshall returned to the scene today with heavy equipment to sift through the debris, searching for the cause of the explosion.
The explosion at the Marshall Street home near Little Avenue occurred around 11:30 Saturday morning.
Homes on either side of the residence also sustained damage.

People in the neighbourhood of the explosion posted to social media that the blast rocked their homes, with one person saying they thought it was their kids moving furniture.
A video posted to Facebook shows a woman sitting on a chair on a deck when the explosion takes place.
Police are holding the scene as part of the investigation.
