Huntsville OPP investigating 'serious collision' after snowmobiler sent to trauma centre

A 43-year-old Burlington man was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries after a snowmobile crash in Lake of Bays Township.

Around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Huntsville OPP responded to a report of a single snowmobile collision into a tree on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail D102B near Muskoka Road 117, south of Baysville.

The rider was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to a trauma centre.

Huntsville OPP are investigating, anyone with any information is asked to call 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
