Single-vehicle collision in Huntsville leads to impaired driving charges

File - Image provided by OPP

Huntsville OPP charged a man Sunday after he struck a fence with his vehicle in Hunstville and didn't remain at the scene.

At 3:22 p.m., officers responded to reports of a collision at McCulley-Robertson Sports Complex on William Street. A short distance away, police located the vehicle.

They eventually formed grounds that the driver was impaired by alcohol.

A 30-year-old man from Huntsville was booked on five charges including having cannabis readily available in the vehicle.

He received a 90-day license suspension, a seven-day vehicle impound, and will appear in court in mid-September.
