Impaired Charges Laid Against Police Officer
Fifteen-Year Veteran of York Regional Police Given Desk Duty For Now
A police officer with 15 years experience under her belt faces Impaired-related offenses.
The York Regional Police Service says the 42-year-old uniform patrol officer has been placed on administrative duties following the OPP-laid charges on Sunday.
“We are committed to the fight against impaired driving and we hold our members to the same, if not higher, standard than members of our community.” says York Regional Police Chief Eric Jolliffe. “We continue to remind our members of their responsibility to live the values of our organization, both on and off duty,”
The officer was off duty at the time of the incident.
