Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to a call shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday from a person who reported a jeep had crashed into a tree on Tiny Beaches Road North in Tiny Township.

First responders were able to triage the lone occupant of the vehicle and the person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

During the investigation, police say they seized open liquor and during a conversation with the driver at the hospital, officers began an impaired driving investigation.

A 51-year-old woman from Tiny Township was charged with impaired driving.

She has had her licence suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
