A double dose of debilitated drivers were charged by Collingwood and the Blue Mountains OPP Wednesday night in separate incidents.
First, around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a collision on a trail near 11th Line in the Blue Mountains. Upon arrival, they found the driver to be impaired by alcohol, and she was arrested.
After the investigation revealed her blood alcohol content was over the legal limit, the 19-year-old from Collingwood was charged with two counts of operation while impaired.
Next, around 10:30 p.m., a traffic stop of a vehicle on Mountain Road in Collingwood took place. The driver of the vehicle refused after the officer read him the Alcohol Screening Demand. Therefore, he was charged with refusal to comply with demand.
Both accused have been issued a 90-day driver's licence suspension, and their vehicles have been impounded for seven days. They will appear in court at a later date.
