Barrie fire crews were called to a fifth-floor apartment at 380 Duckworth Street near Rose Street just before midnight on Tuesday after flames broke out in a solarium.
A fire department spokesperson says the occupants safely exited the building.
Flames were contained to the solarium.
There was smoke damage to the apartment.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
