A motorist has been charged with stunt driving after South Simcoe Police clocked a vehicle travelling 104 km/h in a posted 60 km/h construction zone in Innisfil.

Police say it happened around 7 a.m. Monday on Innisfil Beach Road between Yonge Street and 10th Sideroad.

As a result of the stunt driving charge, the 47-year-old male from Innisfil had his driver's licence suspended for 30 days, and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

Last week in the same area, a 39-year-old woman was charged with stunt driving after police clocked a vehicle travelling 115 km/h through the construction zone.
