Innisfil field crews spent Tuesday closing parks and sports fields following provincial directive

Town increased free delivery deal through What's For Dinner app

The Town of Innisfil is following along with a provincial order and closing all its public parks, playgrounds, sports fields, and other recreation areas.

Innisfil field crews spent the day closing off these areas after a Province of Ontario directive yesterday ordered the limiting of access to parks.

“These might seem like drastic measures, but the fact is that we are at a critical juncture right now,” says Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin. “Each and every one of us has a responsibility. We need to dig deep and stay home whenever possible. It’s the only way to stop the spread of COVID-19 and flatten its curve so that it does not overwhelm our healthcare system.”

At the same time, the Town of Innisfil is extending a partnership with the app What’s For Dinner, giving users free delivery from local restaurants up until April 12th. Over 20 local restaurants are available through the app, downloadable through Google Play or the App Store.
