Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash in Innisfil

The motorcycle driver sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries

Nottawasaga OPP are investigating a two-vehicle collision on Highway 89 at 5 Sideroad Innisfil that had a motorcyclist airlifted to hospital.

On Friday, June 3, just after 2:30 p.m., police received a call regarding a serious collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.

OPP say both vehicles were travelling westbound on Highway 89 with the collision occurring at the intersection.

According to officers, the motorcycle driver was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to a Toronto area trauma hospital.

The motorcycle driver sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The road was temporarily closed, but has since been re-opened.
