Georgian College is looking like a million bucks. Sorry, make that two million.
The college is on the receiving end of a $2 million federal grant, with funds going towards new virtual reality systems, 3D scanners and printers, and fabrication machinery.
This injection of funds comes from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s College and Community Innovation Program, representing a share of $57 million being awarded to 77 recipients across the county.
Federal Minister of Science and Sport Kirsty Duncan was at the campus to announce the funding.
