It’s time to go back-to-school shopping!

More pencils, more books. More teachers with dirty looks.

It’s always important to make sure the kids are prepared for school, but this year it might be more important than ever, so we’ve put together a list to make your back-to-school shopping as easy as possible! From backpacks to everything that goes into them, we’ve got you covered.

Sanitizer

Now hold on just a minute. We don’t advise picking up a six-pack for their first-day school (maybe one for yourself though) but Redline Brewhouse has recently shifted some of its production to include sanitizer too. The extra sanitizer will be very important this year and why not support an awesome local business to boot?

Masks

When social distancing is difficult, wearing a mask makes all the difference. Luckily, there are a number of places selling masks like Old Navy and Call It Spring. In addition, there are lots of ways to buy a mask that is made close to home, including Bardown Hockey, PH Mask Co., and more.

Labels

Once you’re done with all the back-to-school shopping, you’ll want to make sure there are no germy mix-ups! Mabel’s Labels is a Canadian company and they have tons of ways to label all of your kids’ new stuff (they have labels for teachers as well!) and even have label packs for elementary school, preschool, and more.

Backpacks & More

Looking for more of a one-stop-shop? Liquidation Nation is a fantastic place to check out if you want to pick up backpacks, clothing, computer bags, electronics, and more without breaking the bank. There are two locations as well, one in Barrie and the other in Orillia.

School Supplies

Speaking of one-stop-shops, you’ll be hard-pressed to find any sort of school supplies that Scholars Choice doesn’t have. Pens, pencils, crayons, protractors, rulers, highlighters, erasers, and anything else you can think of. Whether it’s science, art, math, or music, they’ll make sure your child is prepared and ready!

Lunchbox

The time for a daily hot lunch is nearly over, but now it’s time to start thinking ahead. Parenting By Nature has super cute, Bento-style lunchboxes that not only make lunchtime easy for both you and your kids but also keep all the food fresh in their own separate compartments. Goodbye soggy sandwiches!

Canadian Computers

If you’re in the market for a new laptop, Canadian Computers almost always have a few on sale. They are also experts on everything electronic so if you’re unsure of exactly what sort of computer a student might need, they will help get you sorted. If you have a little tinkerer at home, be sure to check out their collection of educational toys too, that help teach coding, robotics, and engineering.
