There’s an identifiable morning energy to it. It’s both an aroma of fresh espresso and an echo of kind conversation. By lunchtime you can sense a recharge happening. Plans are being made, bowls of turmeric roasted cauliflower are being pleasantly devoured. And now this new hub of activity has extended into the night. Common Good have recently introduced a cocktail menu to its arsenal – meaning you can wake up or unwind at Barrie’s newest ‘must try’ spot.
General Manager Christian Hampshire says they wanted to create an inspiring environment, with good food and good drinks. ” We believe in meeting with friends and sharing stories and making new friends and creating new stories. We believe in laughter, kindness, community, and doing a good deed every day.”
Hampshire says they have exceptional coffee and well-crafted cocktails.”We are here for the wifi users, the crossword doers and the conversation starters.”
“Common Good is downtown Barrie’s purveyors of quality food and beverage. Your early morning wake-up, your healthy midday café break and your indulgent evening social house.”
The space itself is smart and bright. There’s a touch of artisan chic mixed with some luxurious finishes. Interior designer Ashley Davidson design (who got featured on Domino Magazine last week) designed the space.
Common Good takes a “community-minded” approach to their espresso and cocktails. They get beans and small batch liquors from right here in Ontario.
