After 37 years with the iconic Alex Trebek, who passed away late last year from pancreatic cancer, Mike Richards has some major shoes to fill after being announced the new host of Jeopardy.
Richards is an executive producer of the show and already has hosting experience on shows like Beauty and the Geek, The Pyramid, and even on Jeopardy itself, having guest-hosted a few times before. He was also an executive producer on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and The Price is Right, so you might be hard-pressed to find anyone with more game show experience than he has.
Jeopardy also announced a spin-off series called "Jeopardy! National College Championship" which will see former guest host, Neuroscientist, and Big Band Theory star Mayim Bialik take over hosting duties. "Being a woman of science...is something I'm very passionate about presenting myself as. I really didn't grow up with a lot of female role models," she said after her guest-hosting stint.
