Barrie police cruiser parked at police headquarters on Fairview Road
Thieves last night ransacked and robbed a jewellery store at Georgian Mall in Barrie.
Police say three suspects smashed glass cases, grabbed what they could, then fled in a dark-coloured vehicle with stolen licence plates. Witness video suggests it was a Honda.
No one was hurt.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Barrie Police.
Earlier, around 7:30, display cases were shattered and items taken from a jewellery store at Markville Shopping Centre at Highway 7 and Markham Road.
York Regional Police say the thieves also escaped in a dark-coloured Honda.
