Police have charged a man after an altercation with an employee of a south end Barrie bar.
Police say they responded to a report of an assault at a Bayview Drive establishment around 7 p.m. Monday.
"The incident, which took place outside the business, involved a staff member and an intoxicated patron and was witnessed by other staff members who were able to corroborate what had taken place prior to the arrival of the police" according to a news release from police.
The staff member did not require any medical treatment.
A 55-year-old from Barrie was charged with assault.
He has a court date next month.
