Man appears impaired after driving his children, later charged by OPP in New Tecumseth

Nottawasaga OPP gave impaired driving charges to a man on Monday after a public complaint in New Tecumseth.

Just before 7:30 p.m., police responded to the complaint regarding an impaired driver on Second Street. Witnesses reported that a male driver appeared impaired after dropping his children off at a community program.

Officers eventually found the vehicle and spoke with the driver. They late determined the driver was impaired and placed him under arrest. The 36-year-old from Beeton was handed two impaired operation charges.

The man will appear in court in Bradford in late October.
