Bracebridge woman among four arrested in drug sweeps in Muskoka, GTA
A 28-year-old Barrie man is up on charges following a shooting early Saturday at a townhouse complex on Georgian Drive.
Police responded to the incident around 4 a.m.
The victim, a 21-year-old Barrie man, was airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, police executed a search warrant at a Georgian Drive address, which resulted in a man being taken into custody. The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and numerous charges related to an unauthorized firearm. He was held pending a bail hearing.
The investigation continues, but police are not searching for any additional suspects.
