Man reported missing in Gravenhurst found dead in river

OPP say the death is believed to be non-suspicious

A tragic end to the search for a man reported missing Friday in Gravenhurst.

The 67-year-old was reported missing just after 10 a.m. The man was believed to have last been seen on Wednesday afternoon. A search began and the man was located deceased in the Kahshe River. The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit assisted at the scene.

Police say the death is believed to be non-suspicous. A post mortem is scheduled to determine the cause of death.

The idenity of the man will be withheld pending family notification.
