McDonald’s Canada to close dining rooms and stop take-out service

Restaurant chain says drive-thru and McDelivery remain available

There will no be dining in at a McDonald’s Restaurant in Canada. The restaurant chain is closing dining rooms in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dining rooms at Mickey D’s in Ontario were already closed under a state of emergency.

Country-wide, McDonald’s will also stop take-out service. Drive-thru and McDelivery remain available.

In a statement, McDonald’s Canada said they have teams working around the clock to continue to adapt procedures and protocols to reflect guidance from the respective governments, health authorities as well as feedback from its restaurant employees and guests.

Working closely with franchisees, select restaurants may continue take-out service in communities where there are specific needs, including locations near hospitals and healthcare facilities.
