McDonald’s is currently testing out Beyond Meat burgers at select locations in Canada.
The burger, which they call the P.L.T. or Plant, Lettuce, Tomato, is set to be available as a test at some restaurants in Southwestern Ontario. As of Monday, September 30th, the flavour tests will take place in London, and some locations in Sarnia, Tilsonburg, and Woodstock.
“McDonald’s Canada has a proud legacy of innovating across our menu and we’re excited that Canadians will be the first in the world to try the P.L.T.,” Chef for McDonald’s Canada Jeff Anderson explains in a statement. “We’re eager to hear what our customers love about the P.L.T. to help McDonald’s around the world better understand how a plant-based burger works in our restaurants.”
The burger is set to cost $6.49 plus tax, and it will come topped with mustard, may-style sauce, ketchup, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, and processed cheddar between two Quarter Pounder buns.
