Medical Condition May Have Lead to Collingwood Crash
Elderly Man Rushed To Hospital
A senior citizen was sent to hospital after a crash in Collingwood.
First responders rushed to the area of Second and Spruce Streets around noon Sunday with reports of a two-vehicle head on collision. Police say a southbound coupe somehow ended in the northbound lanes, striking an SUV.
The 84-year-old driver of the coupe was unresponsive after the crash, but first responders brought him around before rushing him to hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
Police are still investigating the crash but say it may have been caused by a medical condition.
