Midland residents are getting the opportunity to share input on the town's approach to drawing tourists.
An online survey will collect residents' feedback after the Town of Midland's recently completed tourism strategy, which it says will strengthen Midland’s appeal as a destination, enhance experiences, and support a sustainable and balanced approach to tourism growth.
The plan was developed in collaboration with Georgian College, and outlines how Midland grows, manages, and promotes tourism over the next five years.
“This is an opportunity for our community to have a direct voice in shaping Midland’s tourism future,” said Karen Mealing, the manager of culture and tourism for the Town of Midland, said in a news release. “Tourism touches many aspects of our community, from local businesses to events and amenities. We want to ensure our approach reflects the people who know Midland best.”
Community input was part of the recent strategy's development, while the new survey represents the next step in the implementation process.
The short survey is open until July 26.
