Minimum Wage To Remain At Fourteen Dollars Per Hour

Conservatives Halt Plans to Increase Hourly Minimum By a Buck

Queen’s Park has halted plans to increase Ontario’s minimum wage by a dollar.

Labour Minister Laurie Scott made the announcement today, the PC government is leaving the minimum wage at $14 an hour, rather than raising it to $15 as per the previous Liberal Government.

The Minister wouldn’t say if the province’s minimum wage would go up in the future, adding there is consultation in the works.

Scott also hinted at possible future tax breaks for those earning less than $30,000 a year.
