Ontario Provincial Police have located an 86-year-old man from Midland who was reported missing.

Just before 5:30 p.m., police said they found the senior identified as Eric in a bush area next to the grounds of a manufacturing facility in Midland by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit.

He was conscious and transported to an area hospital for assessment.

Eric was last seen leaving his home on Pillsbury Drive around 10 a.m. Tuesday and was reported missing a few hours later.

"Investigators wish to thank the many residents, business owners and media partners who took the time to assist in this community search," police said in a news release on Wednesday evening.
