More recoveries than new cases added to Ontario caseload as over 20,000 tests were run in a day

Province continues to exceed testing targets

Another day where the number of Ontarians recovering from COVID-19 has outweighed the number of new cases added.

Public Health Ontario confirmed another 344 cases of the virus across Ontario Friday morning but raised the number of people who have since recovered by another 375.

This comes as the province blew past its testing target yet again, with over 20,700 tests run in a day. However, there were over 12,000 in backlog.

To date, the province has lost 2,372 lives to COVID-19, 15 more people than yesterday.
