If you've been thinking of buying a motorcycle to get around to save on gasoline there are 13-hundred reasons for you to visit the Motorcycle Supershow at the International Centre by Pearson International Airport in Toronto.
At least that many motorcycles are on display, along with a few scooters and ATVs.
Show president, Richard Kehoe, expects to see a lot of first-time buyers, "I believe there's going to be a lot of first-time buyers, saying hey, how do I get into this sport. Not only are there numerous alternatives, of styles and motorcycles, but the schools are so important. There are so many drive schools here, where you can learn how to ride a motorcycle properly, safely."
And you can learn, says Kehoe, in as little as a weekend, with in-class practical instruction followed by on-bike instruction in a parking lot.
If you want to go 'green', several dealers at the show will be featuring Harley-Davidson's e-motorcycle, "You'll be able to sit on this motorcycle, rev it up, spin the back tire, and listen to how quiet this thing is."
Great for some, says Kehoe, but he still enjoys putting fuel in his.
He also enjoys watching the Highway Heathens stunt team which is putting on a couple of shows a day.
There's a collection of vintage motorcycles to ogle, as well as performance machines.
