Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in Springwater collision

A two-vehicle collision between a motorcyclist and a commercial van north of Barrie has left the rider with life-threatening injuries.

At around 11:10 a.m. Sunday, emergency crews were dispatched to County Road 27 at Bertram Industrial Parkway in Springwater Township for a reported two-vehicle collision.

Police say the 22-year-old motorcyclist from Springwater was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital.

County Road 27 was closed for several hours between Highway 26 in Midhurst and Horseshoe Valley Road for the police investigation.
