Two motorists nabbed at same time for stunt driving in Midland

Police say the drivers were spotted side-by-side and in tandem
Wasaga Beach resident robbed by man claiming to be a police officer

Southern Georgian Bay OPP have charged two motorists after the vehicles were spotted speeding westbound on Heritage Drive near William Street in Midland.

Police say the drivers were side-by-side and then in tandem at a high rate of speed, clocked at 128 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.

The motorists were stopped in front of the OPP detachment.

The 18-year-olds, one from Midland and the other from North Bay, were charged with speeding, racing and stunt driving.

The Midland driver was charged with having marijuana readily available, while the other motorist was charged with driving with open liquor.

The vehicles have been impounded for 14 days and both drivers licences have been suspended for 30 days.
