Thousands of people on the website made it their mission to help find the songs' names and artists, but one person in particular put all the pieces together.
According to Loudwire.com, redditor, south_pole_ball , eventually discovered the song was from an 86 adult film called "Angels of Passion."
The Redditor discovered that Christopher Saint Booth's name was attached to a list of vague credits from the '80s, including writing music for adult movies.
After watching many adult movies that Booth was credited in,the music sleuth finally found the song at the 1:07:31 point in the XXX movie.
The Reddit community praised him for finding the song, but as one pointed out, it's bittersweet.
"All this work, and it's something you can't brag to your parents about, lol," one Redditor wrote.
